A simple term, yet many people struggled to maintain a healthy lifestyle in the world we live in today. Every time I go to the store to buy something, I would spend more than $50 on a piece of clothing but feel reluctant when it comes to medicines or supplements for myself. This is funny because health isn’t really advertised or made well-known in our society today because we value momentary items. With this in mind, we understand that wellness should be prioritized no matter what because you need to be healthy in order to work well in life. In some cases, it is good to include naturopathic doctors in your health routine in order to be in charge of your health. Naturopathic doctors have a holistic approach to healthcare because they believe in the body being able to heal itself without overusing supplements or medicine. They target in treating a whole person - body, mind, and spirit and encourage patients in recognizing their symptoms early. Staying healthy means beyond just living healthy, it is the feeling of waking up and being able to accomplish your goals without feeling tired, unmotivated or fatigue. Maria goes in depth about her experiences with her naturopathic doctor because she was able to recover and be the CEO of her own health by having her ground and knowing what is right for her body. It is important to be an “active participant” in your own health and know all your supplements and medicines. Some of us get on medicines recommended by our doctors, but we don’t fully realize the risks of it being liver damaged so you have to be in charge of your own health.Keep a Pain/Health Journal: Keeping a note to yourself of what supplements or medicines you take in order to know your consumptions. In addition to that, write down any symptoms you have through the day to gauge things like headaches, bad stools, lower back pain.Understanding that money comes and goes but your health stays with you always. When you are on your bedside, you will realize the only important thing is to get better and be with the one you love. Therefore, you have to make better choices even if it is hard to stay healthy!
